So,
As I was thinking of a title and content for this entry, one of my best friends Ben Peters messaged me saying, “GINGERS RIDING CAMEL SPIDERS!!” because these are two things we are mutually scared of because they are works of Satan himself; The Ginger, and the Camel Spider. Which brings me to the idea I’ve come up with for this blog, how about a list of my top five fears?
1.Velociraptors-They can run very fast, hunt tactically, oh and OPEN DOORS!
2.Camel Spiders-I don’t even care if they are not actually dangerous, they’re terrifying.
3.Gingers-They suck out your very soul just by making eye contact. Watch out!
4.Heights-Yeah, they give me a weird feeling in my stomach but they don’t stop me from doing anything.
5.Seals(but only in the water)-Sooo, this one time, I was surfing and this seal popped up like four feet away from me, made a noise, then went back under water. I was terrified, thought it was going to kill me. Luckily there was a big wave coming just then so I rode it like a champ back to the safety of the beach.
So, those are my top fears. Thats all I’ve got for tonight. Laters!

So, today I created a tumblr account, deleted my old twitter, got a new twitter, and made a new email. I feel accomplished? or sad? It seems fairly ridiculous that it has come to this. My twitter got hacked or something and stopped working, so I deleted it and then frantically make a new one? That is somewhat absurd, I rarely even use twitter.
But wait. It gets worse.
In order to make a new twitter, I need a new email. Hold that page, open a new page to make a new gmail. All so i can continue to tell people what I am doing all the time? Well, not entirely I suppose. I did need a more professional email than the one I have had since freshman year.
So, I made a new email, then proceeded to make that new twitter. Once that was finished I found the few people who would lead me to others that I had been following previously and then followed them again.
All was back to normal.
So this obviously has made me think, is this really what we need to be doing with our lives? Social networking? When did everyone get too busy to just hang out with each other and talk about our days? When did we stop living life side by side and switch to phone to phone, computer to computer? Maybe we just grew up..
People join groups on facebook that say “I hate when I think my phone vibrates but it really didn’t.” Are we so attached to this object, this digital leash that we get upset when it doesn’t go off? Our generation has become technology whores, we love it, we want it, we need it.
My phone holds 300 text messages in the inbox. It is on auto-erase so that it automatically deletes the oldest text and receives the newest one. Anyways, I play this game where I see how old the oldest text is to see how much I have been texting. For instance today is Thursday, my oldest text, 300 ago, is from Sunday evening. Four and a half days to go through 300 texts, I used to go through that many in just one day.
I love taking a step back and communicating less digitally and hanging out more face to face. I think that is something our generation really lacks, is the ability or even the desire to communicate without a phone.
Anyways, just some thoughts on our electronic obsession, that is what blogging is for right?
Hey everyone. Today I am going to begin a little dedication experiment. Let’s see if I can consistently keep up with this blog. Even if I don’t necessarily have anything special to write, I am going to try to keep up with it. I will write about my life and it’s happenings day by boring day. Sounds like fun lets do it!
